In a few days Indian Home Minister P. Chidambaram has sought to find an exclusive ‘starting point’ to hold talks about Kashmir. Since the death of an 11-year-old boy in June, the political situation in Kashmir is fraught with violence. Almost 60 more people have died thereafter; curfew was imposed but all measures to restore normalcy to the valley has been proved inefficient. To deal with the protesters, Chidambaram will hold conclusive talks and propose a solution to the problems.
