New Yorkers in Favor of Casino Gambling

A new poll shows that New Yorkers are all in for casino gambling.

The survey conducted by the the Quinnipiac University showed 64% of state voters and 65% of city voters favored Atlantic City or Las Vegas style casinos in New York including table games and casino slots. The poll found that 68% were in favor of such casinos, claiming it would be good for the state’s economy while only 31% were opposed to legalized casino gambling.

Quinnipiac pollster Maurice Carroll said “New Yorkers say shuffle and deal”

Governor Cuomo has called for legalized gambling in the state and is expected next year to propose changing the state’s Constitution to do so.

Details are yet to be revealed as to where in the state casinos will be allowed.
